This course fundamentally aims at providing undergraduate students reading for an intermediate degree in English phonetics with a reasonably satisfactory background in linguistics. The course outlines the scope and development of the phonetic branches and then leads into thorough discussions of all the basic concepts and terms in addition to the various approaches available in the realm of phonetics.
